Listen

Words continute to scratch the surface of my tongue. I know they are there, but due to excess I have lost all sense of taste. I close my eyes and visualize the words rolling off my tongue into ears like medicine. There is an epidemic of ear infections prevalent in our world. The most noticeable symptom is the constant running of the mouth where words constantly come out with no direction. Where are you going? Why are you running?

I have reached a clear space of white noise that disables the movment of my mouth before speaking. And due to my excessive speaking without thinking I have burned many bridges from mind to my tongue and the result is I no longer have taste buds. I have learned to listen with my eyes and speak with my ears. I am aware of a power that I am told I have had since I was born; the power to listen to people hearts by looking at their faces.

You too have this power. Listen.

Wisdom

Fear is to suffer from the past. Worry is to suffer about the future. Be present in the moment. Attempt to fill as much space as you can and time will dissipate. Conscious thinking. Conscious moving. Conscious being. As long as we are mindful we realize the connection we have with every thing that exists and does not exist. If, you allow yourself to tap into anothers soul then you will be able to find the love within to live through pain as you would through happiness. The consciousness expands beyond the limits of the body, mind, and soul and fills the space that creates our existence. The dark then becomes light and the light becomes dark having no differences and unified clarity awakens you from the dream state that you were not aware you were in. Emotions and thoughts exist because the mind allows for the body the privilege of sensations. We are human, but do we know who we are? Do you know who you are? Who Am I? Seek experience and obtain wisdom. There only questions and no answers. Life is relative to the experiences that develop. Wisdom is the result. Wisdom conquers fear. Wisdom conquers worry. Wisdom Is...

AMBER ALERT

Arizona ABC15 News. should be ashamed of themselves. Usually, I am not one to watch the local news because of how depressing it can be to watch the limitless of suffering taking place in the local community. And the television news media seems to do an excellent job to find the most tragic incidents happening in the moment to report on. Jahessye Shockley, a 5 year old black girl, went missing in Glendale, AZ on Tuesday evening, October 11, 2011. And today ABC15 News took it upon themselves to report that the Phoenix Police Department will their 100 pull back law enforcement personnel and volunteers who were searching for Jahessye Shockley. This is not what infuriates me. It was the “news” ABC15 News proceeded to say afterwards.

“Jenice Hunter, mother of 5 year old missing girl, has a criminal history in California that states that she served prison time in October 2005, for child abuse. And Hunter’s husband, who is a registered sex offender, also participated in the abuse of the children.”

I understand that this may be relevant to the case of missing Jahessye Shockley. But, what I do not understand is why ABC15 News found it necessary to share with the public in this moment. Because, as hard it is to fathom, if I were to try to connect all the dots I would understand why the police are scaling back their search. I believe what is most important is to find what has happened to 5 year old and find Jahessye, not what her mother did or did not do 6 years ago.

If you have any information, you're encouraged to contact the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-HELP (4357).

White and Black

According to Darwin's theory of Natural Selection, women seek men who are healthy, financially stable, and educated. I am left to wonder why does it seem that white women are more likely to be attracted to black men in the modern day? Statistics display that black men are more likely to lack education, in debt, without healthcare, and possibly in the judicial system as a felon.

During the 50s and 60s white women chose to date black men to rebel against their racist parents. It still may be an eye sore to see interracial relationships to some, but it is becoming more prevalent in the American society regardless of what media or black women think is a act of betrayal by black men. Why is this? Could the answer be that the American society is losing their sense of color and becoming "colorblind." Colorblind is such a unbefitting word to define the beauty of the union of two unique individual. It takes two indiviuals to create a union, not a union to make a union alone. Thus, it is imperative to open your eyes to cherish the chocolate, carmel, pale white, golden, olive, or milk chocolate-like colored skin to truly embrace the individual of the union. It not necessary to be colorblind to see the equality. Then we will be left with eyes that only sees black and white. Color television was invented in the 1950s. No need to go backward. Yes, we are alike because we belong to the human race. But, there is so much more to a person that makes us truly different from any species in the world.

Love is love no matter the color of your skin. The color of your skin makes the love that is love.
